SKG partner Growing Gardens is taking over Slappy Cakes on Earth Day for a fun evening of Asian cooking! Guests will learn how to make a giant cabbage and noodle-loaded pancake known as okonomiyaki with a choice of toppings including pork belly. Local farmers will be among the eaters trying their hand at the griddle and sharing their stories throughout the meal. Dinner will end with refreshing Japanese shaved ice. Enjoy a night of fun and food that will help a wonderful Portland organization, Growing Gardens, to expand food equity in our city. Growing Gardens works to give every community member the knowledge and encouragement to grow their own food. There will be two seatings at the benefit on April 22nd: one at 5:30 and one at 8:30.
