Enrollment Term:
By registering your child(ren) in the program, parents commit to ECO Garden Ecology Club enrollment for a full term:
Re-enrollment:
Registration will happen every term to provide families the opportunity to increase or decrease their days and to provide an equitable opportunity for other families to join our program. We will send out the new registration information October 1, 2019 (for winter term) and January 27, 2020 (for spring term).
Refunds:
We cannot provide refunds for unused days in the event that a child is removed from the program or for any other reason.
Tuition:
Tuition is due upon enrollment. If you would like to set up a payment plan please be in touch with the After School Coordinator,
[email protected].
Late Pickup Fee:
The program ends each day at 5:30 PM, and we ask that parents are on time for pickup so that ECO educators are able to clean up and get home themselves. We allow a 5-minute grace period until 5:35 PM. If you are going to be late beyond the 5-minutes we ask that you call or text your ECO educators. If you are more than 5 minutes late three times we will charge a late pickup fee at a rate of $1 per minute to be paid directly to the educator to compensate their time. In the event that a child is not picked up by 5:40 PM, the ECO educator will attempt to contact the parent/guardian via phone/text if prior notice has not been given. If we are unable to reach the primary contact we will begin to reach out to your emergency contacts.
Absences:
When your child does not come on their listed day, we get worried. Please let us know if your child will be absent from ECO Garden Ecology Club. Call or text one of the ECO educators prior to 3:00 PM on the day of the absence.
Parent/Guardian Contact Info:
It is extremely important that parent/guardian contact information, emergency contacts, and pickup lists are kept up to date. To make changes to contact information, or to add a person to the emergency contact or pickup list, please contact the After School Coordinator: [email protected].
Snacks:
Please pack a snack for your student to re-energize after school. We recommend protein-based snacks like yogurt, lunch meat, or cheese and/or some sort of fruit or vegetable. We request a peanut and tree nut free snack. If you would like assistance in providing a snack for your student, please contact Chloe: chloe@ecologyoutdoors.org. We provide a supplemental snack for students and snack on what is available seasonally in the garden when we can.
School Closures:
If school is closed for any reason, we will not meet. In the event of snow days, ECO will add make-up days in June to align with any PPS adjustments that extend the school year.
Inclement Weather:
We will stay inside when the elements are unsafe; lightning/thunder, air quality, freezing temperatures, dangerous air quality, and excessive heat.
